What time is the Sun Room? What time is the Moon Room?
The Sun Room provides before care from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM.
The Moon Room provides after care from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.

Who teaches the Sun and Moon Rooms??
There is an on-site manager for both programs. Additionally, two to three teachers support and lead the Sun and Moon Rooms each day.

How do I register?
Registration is handled by Launch Your Kid. Go to www.launchyourkid.com and click “Register.” Select “Charlotte” as your city, “The Mothership” as the location, and add your programs to your cart.

How does billing work?
Billing is processed on a recurring monthly basis using the card on file.

How does a drop-in work?
If you would like to drop in for one day, please email Payton@launchyourkid.com with the date and whether you need before or after school care. If space allows, we would be happy to have your child join us. Please email at least 24 hours in advance.

Where do I drop off my child in the morning?
Our Sun Room begins at 8:00 AM and we cannot accept earlier drop-offs due to staffing.

Please walk your child in, take them to the bathroom, then bring their belongings to their cubby in the Sunshine Room. A teacher will sign your child in on the Brightwheel iPad.

If your child attends Moon Room, place their nut-free snack in the designated snack box in the Sunshine Room.

Parents and children are not permitted in classroom areas during this time.

Will my child have snack during aftercare?
Yes. Please pack a nut-free snack and place it in the designated snack box during morning drop-off.

My child still naps. How do you handle naps?
The Sun Room is open to all ages.

The Moon Room is designed for children ages 3–5 who have transitioned out of napping. Families are encouraged to try a drop-in before committing to a full month.

How does pick-up work?
Parents may not open the playground gate. Please wait outside and a staff member will bring your child to you after you check them out on Brightwheel. Children are released one-on-one (except siblings). If someone else will be picking up, or if you will be early/late, please notify staff through Brightwheel.

What if I’m late to pick up my child?
All children must be picked up by 3:00 PM.

After 3:05 PM, a $1.00 per minute late fee will be charged and billed at the end of the month.

Can I sign up after the first of the month?
Yes. Email Payton@launchyourkid.com for a prorated rate. Enrollment is year-round and space is limited.

If I register/pay in May, will I be charged in September?
Your initial May payment covers September tuition. September will be skipped in recurring billing, and payments resume in October.

Will December be prorated?
Tuition is not prorated for holidays or closings. Tuition is calculated across the full school year and divided evenly by month.

Can I cancel my registration?
You must cancel by the 15th of the previous month to avoid being charged. For example, to stop care for November, email by October 15th. Please email Payton@launchyourkid.com to cancel.

Who should I contact with additional questions?
The on-site manager handles day-to-day operations and can be contacted via Brightwheel or in person. Payton Way handles registration and billing questions. Please email Payton@launchyourkid.com for those needs.
